Being aware of the reasons you gamble can be very helpful when you’re trying to quit or cut down your gambling. When you’re aware of why you gamble, you can plan specific actions for each reason.

Some people are motivated to gamble to escape feelings like sadness, stress, anxiety, or anger. But the truth is, it won’t… Gambling may provide short-term relief from these feelings, but they will still be there, and will probably get worse if you decide to gamble. Your counsellor and this tool can help you break this cycle.
